To say that I have a sense of adventure is a little bit of an understatement. Over the years I have checked off many items on my bucket list and no matter what age I am, I will continue to do the things that scare me, challenge me, exhilarate me. When travelling, I always do the things that I would not normally do or attempt at home. Travelling is a time to push myself to the limits and see what I am made of. Becoming a mom did slow me down for the first couple of years (I even gave up riding my motorcycle!), but recently I feel like I have come back with a vengeance. A thirst for life and excitement, a means to explore and dig deep and see what I am capable of.
During my most recent trip to Mexico I signed up to go on ATVing with Mamora Adventures. This activity centre in the Riviera Maya offers fabulous excursions such as camel-back riding, snorkeling, scuba diving, catamaran cruises, and swimming with the dolphins all in one place. Since I had checked off all those activities in previous travels, I decided to ride an ATV (All Terrain Vehicle).
With my trusty sidekick hanging on for dear life (I miss you Monica!) we weaved our way through the Mexican landscape, through the rain-forest and along the Moroma Beach which is consistently rated one of the top beaches in the World. I revved that engine and turned that throttle until we couldn’t go any faster. The adrenaline was pumping, we took crazy turns, experienced some high bumps and marveled in the beauty of the ocean and surroundings. It was fast, it was fun, it was kinda crazy but I loved every minute of it! I loved feeling so free and doing the unexpected!
When I book my clients travel, I always encourage them to do something fun and adventurous. So next time you are away on your dream trip, tell me what adventure are you going to check off your bucket list?
All set and ready to roll!
On Maroma Beach.
